Something new for this year. . . Classroom TWITTER

This year we will be using a new way to check our learning that includes learning about technology.

Classroom Twitter

We will write daily about what we learned, questions we have, things we still don't understand about, etc.

We will do it in the form of a TWEET, like they do on Twitter.

We will have a Twitter feed.

And each week several of our Classroom Tweets will be chosen to be posted on the class's real Twitter account for the world to see what we are doing.

How cool is that! So come check it out.

Getting to know each other on the 1st day of school

We started the year out with a cool activity. We spent the morning putting a puzzle together while getting to know our new classmates.

We worked together to build this puzzle while building new friendships. Building new memories and friendships, what a great start to the year.

The bonds we made on this first day will help us to have the best year ever.

Like the completed puzzle, we are a complete class that takes care of each other and helps each other to learn everything we can.

This will be a great year of learning and growing.

Please join us this year. Follow along as we learn and grow together.

1st Day of School

Welcome Nanooks to your 1st day of 5th grade.Today we learned about the construction on campus and how things would be different for the next couple of weeks.

We received out Social Studies books and got started learning right away. We even had a short quiz on what we had read.

The Expectation Assembly was really good. We learned about the character traits-trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

Our homework is to read for 30 minutes. Remember to get our parents to sign the paper saying we read and bring it back to school tomorrow.

Thank you,
