Jimmy Stewart's Weather Bus

Today we were privileged to learn all about weather from Meteorologist Jimmy Stewart. We got to go into his special weather bus and learn about the weather.

Halloween AKA Wednesday

Remember that you can wear your costume on Wednesday to school for the parade. You do not have to wear a costume.

Costumes should be something you can work in all day or you will need to change into your uniform. Again you do not have to dress up for Halloween.

This will be a normal day except for the parade. We will be doing all of our normal learning during the day. There will be no party, goodies or treats. If you will be absent on that day you will have to make up all the work you miss.

So if you celebrate Halloween or not remember that this is a school day. We will be doing work. Thursday will also be a school day, so remember to not stay out too late or eat too many treats and get sick.

We will party at the end of the year once you have mastered all the learning for this year and are ready to go on to 5th grade.

Learning about business

Remember breakfast is now in the classroom

Today was the 1st day of Breakfast in the Classroom.

Remember that gates open at 8 am and you are to go straight to the playground until the bell rings at 8:30. There is no supervision on campus before 8 am!

You may drop off your backpack on the way to the playground only. Please stay on the playground until the bell rings, then quickly get to class so we can get started.

MACRO Kick Off Assembly

MACRO Motorcycle Man came to our school to kick off our MACRO Assembly. MACRO is a math program that is meant to help us learn math. It was so cool when he drove his motorcycle into the MPR.

End of 1st Quarter

This week has been parent teacher conferences. A time to share what we have learned this quarter.

As you get ready to head out for Fall Break remember that this is just the beginning of a great year of learning. There is so much more we will discover.

So have a safe and wonderful break. Rest, relax, and recharge so that come October 15th you are ready to begin the next quarter of your 4th grade year of discovery.

Today we made a multiplication fact cootie catcher.  We can practice our 3's.

Oh Bother . . .

Wow! It can be so hard to find things. . . 

When our desk are messy. . .

It slows us down and we can't be ready to learn on time.

But when our desks are neatly organized. . .

We can find what we need for learning quickly. . .

And not keep anyone waiting!

So lets keep those desks neat and organized. With everything in it's place.

Getting to know each other on the 1st day of school

We started the year out with a cool activity. We spent the morning putting a puzzle together while getting to know our new classmates. 

We worked together to build this puzzle while building new friendships. Building new memories and friendships, what a great start to the year.

The bonds we made on this first day will help us to have the best year ever.

Like the completed puzzle, we are a complete class that takes care of each other and helps each other to learn everything we can.

This will be a great year of learning and growing.
